Chinese delegation visits the site of construction of a museum, cultural and education complex in Vladivostok

Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Central Committee Politburo and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress Li Zhanshu, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Alexander Babakov, and Chinese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Russia Zhang Hanhui have visited the site of construction of a museum, cultural and education complex in Vladivostok.

The delegation was met at the site by Zhao Xiaojia, General Director of KitayStroy, Evgeny Markin, RCBC Executive Director, Igor Volkunovich, General Director of Stroytransgaz Vostok and Evgeny Sheremet, Head of construction for the National Cultural Heritage Foundation in Vladivostok.

Li Zhanshu and Alexander Babakov inspected the site and listened to reports from the heads of the companies involved in the project.

Zhao Xiaojia reported on progress at the site and on KitayStroy’s successes in Russia.

Igor Volkunovich and Evgeny Sheremet presented the plans for further construction and talked about the significance of the project for the development of Russian-Chinese comprehensive partnership relations.

Evgeny Markin noted the special role of and support for the implementation of the project from the Chairman of the Russian-Chinese Business Council and Chinese Ambassador to Russia.

“Stroytransgaz and KitayStroy, under the leadership of Gennadiy Timchenko, the Chairman of the Business Council, and with direct support from Zhang Hanhui, the Chinese Ambassador to Russia, are successfully implementing this major Russian-Chinese construction project. I’d especially like to point out that in the face of the unprecedented sanctions from unfriendly countries, Chinese companies are continuing to operate in the Russian Federation, and in particular in the Primorye Territory. The support and trust from our Chinese friends are especially valuable to us at this difficult time,” commented Evgeny Markin, RCBC Executive Director.

Chairman Li Zhanshu noted that this important facility would contribute to the solid foundation of the bridge of friendship between the Russian and Chinese peoples, and thanked the Chinese workers for their work.
