Primorsky Region will be one of the
participants in the large-scale ‘Far East Street’ exhibition, which opens on 5
September in Vladivostok. The region, which annually hosts the Eastern Economic
Forum, has devoted its presentation to import substitution policies and
technological developments.
The
concept of the Primorsky Region pavilion is based on the world ocean, which,
like region itself, connects people and countries. The architectural and design
solution of the pavilion is a spiralling clam shell, a symbol of this Far
Eastern region’s growth and development.
“Primorsky
Region is the link in the world ocean of industrial, economic and innovative
ties. The Region’s display includes projects that target its logistical
development, organization of local industries, supporting entrepreneurship,
development of domestic tourism and fulfilment of local residents’ creative
potential,” noted of Governor of Primorsky Region Oleg Kozhemyako.
Visitors
will be presented with an interactive transport and logistics map of Primorsky
Region. It will focus on the region’s role in the global transport and
logistics system, namely the potential of the Northern Sea Route, location of
railways, key seaports, as well as some key investment projects in the
transport industry. In addition, ready-made investment proposals will be
presented, especially those relevant to the redevelopment of logistics chains:
a grain terminal in Sukhodol Bay, transport and logistics centres near
automobile border crossing points.
The
territorial development zone will accommodate plans to develop Vladivostok
agglomeration, investment projects on Russky Island, and the potential of the
Bolshoi Kamen industrial park. An industrial park is creating a cluster to
produce building materials for the entire Far East. The site has already been
selected by TechnoNICOL to house plants producing bitumen insulation materials
and extruded polystyrene foam.
Promising
start-ups in the field of new technologies will be presented to the guests of
the exhibition: technology for lifting sunken ships, a flying drone for wind
energy, an assembly platform, production of a rubber-bitumen modifier that
significantly reduces the cost of asphalt production, and production of aqua
containers for transportation of live fish and any hydrobionts. Most of the
projects are winners of the regional Primorsky Start competition held by Russky
Technopark.
The
pavilion features new lightweight carbon-based wheelchairs for children with
limited mobility, produced in a unique seaside factory. A robot named Adam,
designed to teach children about robotics and basic programming, will greet
visitors at the entrance to the pavilion.
The
Solaster teleoperated unmanned underwater vehicle will be demonstrated outdoors
in a large aquarium with a capacity of 6 tonnes, set up on a platform behind
the pavilion. A new model of the unmanned aerial vehicle of the Progress plant
will be displayed next to it. The vehicle is versatile and as relevant as
possible in the current situation.
The
display will will also feature a tourism zone with two of the most ambitious
and striking tourism projects in Primorye. They provide Russian citizens with
the opportunity to vacation at a high-quality level in the Russian Far East:
the Belaya Gora ski resort project in Arseniev and the Primorye integrated
entertainment resort project, which will combine concert and exhibition,
children’s and shopping centres, the Sinaya Sopka ski slope, and golf parks.
In the bar
areas of Primorsky Region’s display, guests will be offered drinks and
appetizers from local producers and farmers. The summer gazebo will sell
products and souvenirs from local artisans. A programme by the Primorsky Region
Philharmonic Society and contemporary musicians is planned.
Far East Street will be open on the
waterfront of Ajax Bay at the campus of Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU)
for guests and participants of the 7th Eastern Economic Forum from 5
to 8 September. After the end of the Forum, the
exhibition will go on
until 11 September. Entry for residents of Vladivostok and other cities is
free.
The event is organized by the Roscongress Foundation. Registration for media representatives at the EEF 2022 is open on the official website.
