New horizons of the polycentric world order and active engagement of the young and active changemakers into post-pandemic recovery efforts have been discussed at SPIEF by the members of international community Friends for Leadership (FFL). FFL working on the platforms of the Roscongress Foundation since 2018.
This year, SPIEF traditionally invited over 100 young leaders from 42 countries of the CIS, Asia, Africa, Latin America and Europe, to participate at the Forum with a support of Rossotrudnichestvo, Department of Foreign Economic and International Relations of Moscow and Center for International Promotion.
Over the several days of work during the SPIEF, FFL program delegates have taken part in a number of Forum sessions and hold series of their own events together with Rossotrudnichestvo, All-Russian Society for Nature Conservation, Agency for Strategic Initiatives, Higher School of Economics and other partners to discuss and develop innovative and social projects from the portfolio of the Friends for Leadership participants.
FFL’s busy schedule was full of working meetings and strategic sessions on the implementation of their projects in Russia and the world, as well as holding open discussions about the views of young leaders on the most pressing issues on the global economic agenda, including food security, digital cooperation, the implementation of scientific and student exchanges, cultural and humanitarian initiatives and promoting the implementation of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
“We undoubtedly support the activities of the young and non-indifferent civil society leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators, scientists, journalists, artists and athletes from the neighboring countries and beyond to join efforts for changing the world for the better with a support of the Roscongress Foundation and from such big international venues as SPIEF”, – said Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation, Executive Secretary of the SPIEF Organizing Committee.
The work of international youth delegates at SPIEF has continued efforts to promote multilateral economic and humanitarian projects, which started in 2018, when FFL representatives first united at SPIEF. Many projects will help attract new popular ideas and technologies to Russia and other countries. In addition, the participants will discuss and plan to hold a series of further events with foreign partners at foreign venues using the resources and capabilities of the FFL, the Roscongress Foundation, the Center for International Promotion, Department of Foreign Economic and International Relations of Moscow and Rossotrudnichestvo.
The FFL delegation’s participation at SPIEF will result in development of the roadmaps for the joint implementation of participants' projects, a number of cooperation agreements will be signed and new international initiatives for Russian and foreign youth will be announced.
