The panelists will discuss the current state and prospects of the global energy mix, the future of hydrocarbon and alternative energy sources, and the role of Russia in ensuring global energy security.

Panelists include Alexander Novak, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation; Andrey Ryumin, General Director, Chairman of the Management Board, Rosseti; Alexey Likhachev, Director General, State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM; Leonid Mikhelson, Chairman of the Management Board, Member of the Board of Directors, NOVATEK; Alexander Dyukov, Chairman of the Management Board, Chief Executive Officer, Gazprom Neft; Mohamed Hamel, Secretary General, Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF).

Sergey Brilev, President, The Global Energy Association will moderate the session.

“Today, volatility at global energy markets continues to persist. Because of this, despite the active climate agenda, many countries are increasing their use of hydrocarbon energy sources. At the same time, Russia's energy mix is already one of the cleanest in the world. Our task is to further develop and introduce new environmentally friendly technologies for the fuel and energy industry, expand the use of green energy sources. At the same time, we will focus on the development of new promising sectors in traditional branches of the fuel and energy complex: oil and gas chemistry, LNG, as well as the decarbonization of the energy industry,” said Alexander Novak.

“Today it seems that the topics of the energy transition, new energy sources, as well as climate issues, are completely off the agenda. Is that so? And what are scientists thinking, writing and dreaming about today? We will discuss all this with our guests and present the report of our laureates about the energy of the future,” said Sergey Brilev.
