On 15–18 June 2022, a special junior section, SPIEF Junior, will be held at the 25th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The event's business programme will bring together talented high school students, global business leaders and prominent government officials to discuss the integration of the younger generation into the global socio-economic agenda and create a vision for the future.
"SPIEF Junior will host 150 proactive teenagers at the age of 14–18 from Russia and abroad. The intense business programme includes myriad panel discussions, peer-to-peer dialogues, pitch sessions and workshops. The young participants of SPIEF 2022 will discuss brand new career paths and the skills that will be in demand in the future, resource conservation and ecological future, strategies for building a new economy, and fostering collaboration between business and the younger generation. The plenary session Russia and the World: New Opportunities and Global Challenges Through the Youth’s Eyes will be the centrepiece of SPIEF Junior.
"Engaging talented young people in the discussion of the most important topics on the Russian and international agendas will ensure continuity in solving global challenges, and give the new generation the opportunity to share their views, see things from a new perspective, and discuss innovative ideas. SPIEF Junior will be a magnet for young leaders who will shape the development trends of our time," Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation, stressed.
The event was organized by the Content Foundation as part of the Point Junior discussion and communication platform, which is supported by the Roscongress Foundation and the Innopraktika Non-Governmental Development Institute. The Russian Movement of Schoolchildren, the All-Russian Competition “Big Change”, 1C, Russian Ecological Operator are the partners of SPIEF Junior.
Elena Sokolova, Director of the Content Foundation, stressed the importance of the event: "SPIEF Junior is a unique project through which enterprising and motivated teenagers can meet young leaders from other regions and countries, present interesting and bold ideas at a leading international Forum, and talk to prominent experts. The event will act as a bridge between teenage audience, and stakeholders from business and the government."
Point Junior is a discussion and communication platform launched by the Content Foundation, bringing together Russian and international teenagers who have interesting thoughts to share and a desire to change the world. The project creates a cross-cutting agenda at key international discussion platforms, giving the teenagers the opportunity to take part in global events and receive mentoring support from globally renowned business people, politicians and public figures.
