More than 500 Russian companies from over 65 fields have confirmed their participation in the 25th anniversary St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. In 2022, IT will be most represented sector with 80% of companies sending their top leadership to the Forum.
The Russian economy in 2022 faces enormous challenges, requiring it to adapt to the new reality as quickly as possible. A large window of opportunity is now opening for producers of domestic goods and services prepared to quickly replace their imported counterparts. At the same time, established supply chains are being destroyed and access to foreign investments and technologies is limited. It is more important than ever for the state and business to work together effectively.
"It is paramount to strengthen business partnerships by intensifying ties between representatives of various business sectors. It is equally important to conduct a productive dialogue on improving the business climate in Russia. I am confident that the SPIEF platform will open up new opportunities and vectors of interaction," said Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation.
The Forum will give representatives of the business community an opportunity to come up with proposals for effective transition to a sustainable model of economic development, ensuring environmental preservation as well as forms of interaction between private business and defense industry enterprises. Discussions will cover mechanisms of state incentives for large private companies and defense enterprises in implementation of joint investment projects, as well as issues of development in high-tech production, taking into account the potential of defense industry enterprises in the interests of private business.
The 25th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will take place 15–18 June 2022.
