

This report presents the Polar Index ratings. Polar Index is a joint project of the Project Office for the Development of the Arctic (PORA) expert center and the Environmental Economics Chair, Lomonosov Moscow State University. The project is aimed at promoting the sustainable development principles in the Russian Arctic.
Minister for the development of the Russian Far East and Arctic Alexei Chekunkov spoke to the Eastern Economic Forum 2022 magazine about the impact the current political situation is having on the development of the region, the most profitable infrastructure project in Russian history, and a new approach to urban planning.
The research prepared by the experts of the World Economic Forum together with BCG examines the issues of climate change and the opportunities that all companies have to influence the climate issues through actions on decarbonizing global supply chains.
The report was prepared specifically for the session Multilateral Cooperation in the Arctic through the Prism of International Arctic Organizations: A Situational Analysis as part of the Think Arctic Think Global analytical project discussed the current state of collaboration between Arctic states and prospects for international organizations in the region. The project is being implemented under the auspices of Russias chairmanship of the Arctic Council in 20212023. The Roscongress Foundation is managing the events of the chairmanship.
