The Roscongress Foundation and the Foundation for
Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises in Science and Technology
(Innovation Promotion Fund) signed an agreement at the Open Innovations Forum
in Moscow on 21 October 2019 on cooperation to develop a market of innovative
high-tech commercial projects in the Russian Federation with a high level of
liquidity on the global market, to promote the Business Priority innovation
project quality standard, and to also attract financing and investment for
innovative projects that have been granted the Business Priority status.
«The Business Priority innovative projects are
promising, high-tech companies with potential for international development.
The Roscongress Foundation, as a socially oriented non-financial development
institution, is ready to provide comprehensive support to such companies and
projects, including as part of our largest business events, such as the St.
Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Eastern Economic Forum, and the
Russian Investment Forum. Our activities aim to create conditions and
infrastructure for investors to have simple and transparent access to
innovative and high-tech projects», Roscongress board
member Yuri Cherches said.
Sergey Polyakov, the General Director of the Foundation
for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises in Science and Technology, also
noted the important role of supporting innovative companies for economic
development. «The Business Priority project aims to create a national quality
standard for high-tech innovative projects with high liquidity on the global
market. Support for such projects is fully consistent with the goals of the
governments policy in the development of the scientific and technical sector».
The Roscongress Foundation is implementing the
Business Priority project in accordance with the strategic goals announced by Russian
President Vladimir Putin. According to Decree No. 204 of the President of the
Russian Federation dated 7 May 2018, «accelerating the technological
development of the Russian Federation and increasing the number of
organizations that implement technological innovations to 50 percent of their
total number» is one of the national development goals of the Russian
Federation until 2024.
At present, two contests have been launched as part of
the Roscongress Foundations Business Priority project. The contest Top 10
Innovative Companies in the Energy Sector is being held jointly with the
Russian Ministry of Energy and aims to identify the most popular and promising
innovative solutions that can significantly change the energy sector both in
Russia and around the world.
The contest Top 10 Innovative Companies in
Healthcare is being held jointly with the Russian Ministry of Health with the
