The Roscongress Foundation and the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam signed a memorandum of understanding on June 30, 2017 at the Russian-Vietnamese Economic Forum, which is being held as part of the state visit to Russia by President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Tran Dai Quang. The document was signed by Roscongress Foundation Director Alexander Stuglev and Agency Director Bui Huy Son.
These agreements are important for developing effective communication between the professional and business communities of the Russian Federation and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The parties intend to cooperate in a whole range of areas including common international communication platforms, new long-term partnership ties between the two countries business communities, maintaining a dialogue on cooperation in investment, finance, export and import, in tourism and cultural collaboration.
Alexander Stuglev, CEO of the Roscongress Foundation, said that these agreements were intended to step up Russia-Vietnam cooperation in bilateral trade and mutual investments and to remove the information barrier that impedes development of Vietnamese and Russian businesses in the two countries.
The Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency and the Roscongress Foundation is intended to support cooperation in business and trade between Russian and Vietnamese companies. The Memorandum should promote an increase in investment in industry; it should demonstrate the advantages and fulfil the potential of Russia and Vietnams enterprises. The parties hope for expanding bilateral cooperation and trade, for improving relations and furthering of their development in the future", said Bui Huy Son, the Agencys Director.
