The Moscow International Franchise Forum and Franchise Expo 2019 (Moscow Franchise Expo 2019) will be held on 28–29 May 2019 at the Digital Business Space (DBS). The organizer is the Russian Franchise Association and the Roscongress Foundation supported by the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Ministry for Economic Development of the Russian Federation and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.
The Moscow Franchise Expo 2019 is a major event for small and medium-sized businesses. Leaders of the franchise community from Russia and other countries will gather in Moscow.
The Forum is the country’s leading platform for discussing topical issues of franchising, promoting the image of Russia as having great potential for development of the consumer market and services sector.
The event will be attended by leaders and representatives of the franchise community from more than 20 countries, representatives of Russian government agencies and foreign authorities, primarily from member states of the SCO, BRICS and EurAsEC, owners and managers of franchise companies, owners of concepts and brands from Russia, and other countries, including CIS states, potential and current consumers of franchise offers.
The business programme of the Moscow International Franchise Forum, which will be held as part of the Moscow Entrepreneurship Week, will be attended by officials from the Government of Moscow, the Ministry for Economic Development and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, leading experts of the relevant national departments and foreign franchise institutions, including Agnessa Osipova, President of the Russian Franchise Association, President of BRPI (Baskin Robbins); Chantal Zimmer, General Director of the French Franchise Federation; Susan Su, Director of the China Chain Store & Franchise Association; and Italo Bussoli, Chairman of the Italian Franchise Association.
The business programme includes a full range of topics in the industry’s key areas, including the search for effective solutions and development of recommendations for government authorities and public administration, development institutions and innovative infrastructure facilities on promoting franchising, providing financial support, establishing partnerships, learning the intricacies of franchising technology and collaborating with the world’s leading franchisees. There will be speeches and master classes by key players from the international and Russian business communities, representatives of research institutions and government authorities.
«The trend in recent years is rapid development of franchising technologies in Russia, where businesses adapted to local realities are developing more and more actively to the detriment of international patterns», noted Vadim Zhivulin, Deputy Minister for Economic Development of the Russian Federation. «Such businesses are ready to provide services and goods that meet the needs and interests of a particular region, with the optimal price-quality ratio for the local market, aimed at active scaling», he concluded.
