Since
2021, the Roscongress Foundation's socially oriented School Friend project has
been helping troubled children and teenagers master the school curriculum and
socialize. Since its inception, more than 3,000 hours of classes have been
held, while the geography of the project covers more than 20 regions of the
Russian Federation.
University
students and teachers from different regions of the Russian Federation volunteer
to help children and adolescents improve their academic performance in general
education, successfully pass their final exams in school, decide on the choice
of profession, and adapt to the social environment.
22
August 2022 in cooperation with the Interregional Contact Centre, the School
Friend social project launched a hotline, through which you can apply to either
give or receive help.
“School
Friend has an important mission: let children and teenagers know that are not
alone with their problems. The result we have achieved together with our
volunteers in such a short period of time gives us hope for the successful
implementation of our ambitious plans at the federal level. The launch of the
hotline is an important step in the project's development, allowing us to
provide information and increase our outreach to those who need our help. We
are creating a space of kindness and dialogue,” said Ilya Gulidin, head of the
Social Projects Department of the Roscongress Foundation's Directorate for Work
with Participants.
The
project is very important for social development, as children and adolescents
who have received knowledge, support, and assistance from volunteers will be
able to build a successful career and financial independence in the modern
world.
Monday
to Friday from 9:00 to 18:00 hotline operators will receive calls from all over
Russia. Children, parents, and volunteers will get all the necessary
information about the project, will have a chance to leave an application for
participation and ask questions. The hotline will help increase the reach of
beneficiaries throughout the Russian Federation.
