The 5th edition of the Let’s Travel! International
Tourism Forum has officially commenced at VDNH in Moscow. This event stands as one of the most significant
gatherings of the year for the tourism sector, bringing together government
representatives, industry professionals, experts, and travelers on a single
platform. Organized by the Roscongress Foundation in
partnership with the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian
Federation, and supported by the Russian Government and the Moscow City Tourism
Committee, the Forum has evolved beyond a traditional event. It serves
as a dynamic hub for exchanging ideas and solutions, focusing on the latest
trends, innovative technologies, and key challenges that will influence the
future of tourism in Russia. The Forum features
participation from over 85 Russian regions alongside international delegations,
engaging in both business and festival programmes. Its broad scope and variety
of formats provide participants with opportunities not only to showcase their
tourism offerings but also to forge lasting partnerships.
The Forum kicked-off with a plenary session titled ‘Discovering
Russia: How Travel is Changing the Country’, moderated by Deputy Prime Minister
of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko,
Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov,
alongside prominent leaders from the tourism sector.
Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the
President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the Forum
Organizing Committee, highlighted: “The Let’s Travel! Forum has evolved into a unique
platform where tourism goes beyond being a specialized industry and becomes an
integral part of the nation’s broader development agenda. We observe how
regions are being transformed through new routes and cultural projects, which
generate employment and foster modern infrastructure. The Forum not only mirrors these developments but also drives their
momentum.”
The Forum’s business programme features over 60 events
and brings together 350 speakers to discuss a wide range of topics, including
sustainable development, digitalization, import substitution, human resource
development, investment strategies, and international cooperation. Special focus is given to key areas such as the Arctic
region, rural tourism, youth-focused and inclusive travel routes, as well as
efforts to promote Russia as a tourist destination on the global stage.
The festival segment, running through June 15, promises to be a major attraction for Forum guests. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to explore the diverse regions of Russia in a single day, participate in culinary masterclasses, enjoy concerts, and experience presentations highlighting various travel routes and national cultures. From the Golden Ring and Russia’s macro-regions to exhibitions representing Venezuela, Malaysia, Mongolia, and other countries, the Forum offers a vibrant and expansive map of opportunities.
The Let’s Travel! International Tourism Forum continues until June 15, and the venue welcomes all visitors.
