The
Roscongress Foundation has joined the organizing committee of #InThisTogether
international award. Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed an appropriate
decree. Along with Roscongress, the organizing committee has 32 members. Among
them are Russia’s largest non-profit organizations, businesses and media,
including Mail.ru, Russian Railways, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of
the Russian Federation, Gazprom-Media, National Media Group, Russian Media
Group, TASS, National Priorities (an autonomous non-profit organization), Black
Star (a record label), and others. The organizing committee will be co-chaired
by Deputy Prime Minister Tatiana Golikova and First Deputy Chief of Staff of
the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Kiriyenko.
“#InThisTogether
managed to unite our country. Last year, many organizations across the country promoted
volunteering, worked for charitable causes, carried out acts of kindness, and
helped those in need. The Roscongress Foundation was no exception. In 2020, we
promptly launched a call centre that provided medical and psychological aid for
people over 60 and people with limited mobility – the key risk groups during
the pandemic. Besides, people who called the hotline could apply for the
following services: grocery, medicine, and pet food delivery, paying utility
bills, and taking out the garbage. Our Foundation views this project as an
important and timely initiative that helps people in Russian regions and
supports those in trouble. I am confident that establishing a relevant award
will boost the development of a responsible society across the globe, while its
winners and nominees will set a good example for the younger generations,”
noted Alexander Stuglev, CEO and Chairman of the Roscongress
Foundation.
#InThisTogether
was presented at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in June 2021.
Stand guests could inquire about the application procedure, participate in
special sessions, and learn more about the needs of #InThisTogether regional
clubs and socially oriented non-profit organizations and help them. Besides,
local funds and non-profit organizations organized fundraising for all SPIEF
2021 guests.
#InThisTogether international award is
supported by the Russian President and helps achieve national development
goals. It is a follow-up to the relief effort of the same name and the
Volunteer of Russia (an all-Russian competition). Applications are accepted on
the official award website премия.мывместе.рф until 25 July.
The first meeting of the #InThisTogether organizing committee is scheduled for 26 July.
