The Roscongress Foundation organized its first online charity concert to support self-isolated elderly people. Uma2rman a Russian band performed their biggest hits and songs from their recent album. All the raised money will be put towards assistance for the elderly and people with disabilities. These two groups are most vulnerable to the spread of coronavirus.
«The Roscongress Foundation is keeping up with global trends: we have organized the first online charity concert in our history. Statistics show that over 70% of Russians observe self-isolation. Mandatory isolation is the right time to stay involved with those who are near. This is when we should do the right thing, stay close and help if necessary. We joined our efforts with Uma2rman, and our initiative got over 100 thousand viewers. Our project has enjoyed support from the audience, business and media representatives. This is why our charity concert initiative to support the self-isolated elderly people will carry on,» shared Alexander Stuglev, CEO of the Roscongress Foundation.
During the concert, the viewers could donate to help the elderly and people with disabilities the risk group during the spread of coronavirus.
