








The report was prepared as a result of the event «Russian-Finnish Cooperation in the Field of Sustainable Development in the Arctic Region» as part of the ThinkArctic Project, organized by the Roscongress Foundation, the Center for Comprehensive European and International Studies, and the Analytical Center for the Government of the Russian Federation.

The first meeting of the Arctic Councils Sustainable Development Working Group (SDWG), chaired by Russia, took place from 2628 October in a hybrid format in Moscow. The event was hosted by the Roscongress Foundation.

The Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation presents the Report on the state of civil society in the Russian Federation for 2017. Civil society is the aggregate of caring and active citizens engaged in the shaping of their common future. No country can develop without a civil society. Even less so a country of Russias scale and complexity that spans so many diverse regions.

A study prepared by the team of the A.S. Pushkin State Institute of the Russian Language, is devoted to determining the level of competitiveness of the Russian language on a global scale and its sustainability in the post-Soviet area.
