The ‘Russia Forum: Driving the Future’ will be held on 3–4 December 2021 as part of the National Day of the Russian Federation at the World Expo 2020 in Dubai. The event is being organized with the support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Roscongress Foundation. The Forum’s business programme encompasses a wide range of issues concerning Russian-Arabian cooperation in the economy and investment, and the programme includes a presentation of the best Russian investment projects, as well as a presentation of the Russian Industrial Zone in Egypt.
“Holding the National Day of the Russian Federation at the World Universal Exhibition creates broad opportunities to present our key investment projects, leading Russian brands, and important initiatives in the socio-economic sphere on the international arena,” Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation Anton Kobyakov said.
The Forum’s plenary session will be attended by Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade His Excellency Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Sberbank President and CEO Herman Gref, DP World Chairman and CEO Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation Director General Alexey Likhachev, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, and Ozon CEO Alexander Shulgin.
The event’s business programme will be opened with the session ‘Creative Economy: From Startups to the Creation of New Industries’. The meeting participants will discuss what qualities creators should have in order to turn a creative idea into an economically successful project, what new opportunities the creative industry provides to investors, and also how the creative economy can bring countries and peoples together and serve the sustainable development goals. The expert discussion will be attended by Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District – Yugra Governor Natalya Komarova, BY-WORLD Global Creative Director Vyacheslav Avetisyan, Roscongress Foundation Deputy CEO and Innosocium Foundation Director Elena Marinina, Made in Russia CEO Mikhail Sadchenkov, and others.
As part of the Forum, the Fund RC-Investments, the investment platform of the Roscongress Foundation, will present its digital platform Investinregions.ru. The project is being implemented jointly with the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development. The platform is a unique digital space that brings together investors and project initiators throughout Russia. The presentation will cover the portal’s main functionalities, benefits for investors, and the Roscongress Foundation’s services to provide support for Russia’s international investments.
The expert discussion ‘The Future of Medicine: The Human Brain and Digital Mind at the Heart of Scientific Discoveries’ will be attended by Federal Medical-Biological Agency Director Veronika Skvortsova, Rostec Group CEO Sergey Chemezov, Sberbank Deputy Chairman of the Management Board Olga Golodets, and others. The session will focus on the development of modern medical science and high technologies in the healthcare industry.
The presentation of the Russian Industrial Zone in Egypt is dedicated to the establishment and development of a Russian industrial zone in Egypt and will be attended by representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, VEB.RF as well as large and medium-sized businesses. Experts will speak about the opportunities that the Russian Industrial Zone will provide for Russian companies to enter the Middle East and Africa.
