The president noted that, per tradition, the Forum will feature discussions of the most pressing issues facing the modern economy with the participation of government officials, CEOs of major companies, corporations, and banks, respected experts, and young entrepreneurs who have already successfully launched their business.
«Its clear that we cannot effectively counter global challenges and provide conditions for sustainable development without building up equal and constructive cooperation between members of the world community and expanding multifaceted business ties. We have been carrying out such work for a long time within the Eurasian Economic Union, promoting the principles of free trade and the mutually beneficial exchange of investments and technologies. Our country is interested in closer economic, scientific, and technical cooperation with partners in other regions. We are ready to share our experience in such areas as healthcare and digitalization, improve telecommunications, energy, and transport infrastructure, and work together on the most important aspects of the environmental and climate agenda,» Putin said.
Putin said he hoped the participants in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum would be able to engage in fruitful work, and also expressed confidence that the agreements reached at the Forum would further the development of international relations and contribute to the implementation of new economic projects for the benefit of our countries and peoples.
