The Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) and the Roscongress Foundation initiated the Powerful Ideas for the New Times Forum. Andrey Belousov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, is the Chairman of the Forum Organizing Committee.
«We would like to create a community of proactive people and come up with 100 ideas that would help develop the economy, social aspects, and technology. Our objective is to form teams and bring to life projects and ideas that can ensure Russia’s sustainable development. Apart from ideas, we encourage our audience to share practical tasks that require action. We call on leaders and experts in economics, technology, social development, non-profit organizations, education, urban development, as well as public officials and proactive people to participate,» emphasized Svetlana Chupsheva, Director of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives.
Preparation to Forum will include a special platform that would harvest ideas, solutions, and practices, as well as their appraisal. Public and expert votes for them would also be available. These efforts will encompass 7 themes: a new economic policy, a new social policy, a new technological policy, new competencies, a new urban development policy, new ideas for business, a new agenda for younger generations. According to the ASI, the platform is already up and running. It is available at idea.asi.ru.
«In these challenging times for our country caused by the coronavirus pandemic, we are partnering up with the Agency for Strategic Initiatives to host an event that will help us find a new impetus for developing the economy, technology, education, entrepreneurship, and social processes. Ideas put forward during the Forum will start a long-term pathway in corresponding areas and will promote achieving national goals,» noted Alexander Stuglev, CEO of the Roscongress Foundation.
The final event of
the Forum will take place on 21 September in Sirius Park of Science and
Art. «The authors of 100 ideas selected
after discussion will present them to the Forum participants. Solutions based
on those ideas will be available for use. The Agency and its partners will
support the most powerful ideas,» explained Svetlana Chupsheva.
