On 23 April 17:00 Moscow time Friends for Leadership (FFL) international network together with Roscongress Foundation and TV BRICS will hold the FFL Online Meetup: Global Governance in the Digital Age.
This global community outreach initiative by FFL is held ahead of the virtual event «Young People’s Role in Driving Digital Trends during Uncertain Times» on 24 April organized by Office of the UN Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth Jayathma Wickramanayake, Office of the UN Under-Secretary-General and Special Advisor on UN75 and Digital Cooperation Fabrizio Hochschild, and the UN Major Group for Children and Youth. Totally there will be a series of discussions held online through various social media channels by the youth speakers to gather input from global youth on the topic of technology during this uncertain time. The online discussions will focus on 6 different topics: digital human rights, trust & security, digital inclusion, digital technology trends, big data & research related to COVID-2019, global governance in the digital age.
On 23 April young people from different sectors and areas of expertise will discuss the future of global governance after the pandemic and will try to find their answers on how the international community could work together to optimize the use of digital technologies and mitigate the risks, specifically by building an inclusive digital economy and society, promoting digital trust, security and stability, and foster global digital cooperation.
The discussion will be moderated by one of the founding members of the FFL and advisor to the CEO of Roscongress on youth policy Roman Chukov. Speakers of the event will include Rodrigo Reis, founder and CEO at Global Attitude, Teresa Astolfi, former chief of staff for the speaker of the Government in the Spanish Parliament, Gerardo Trevino, founder and CEO, Paybook, Naya Queen, CEO at Business Women Africa Foundation and Halit Ünver, Board Member at European Technology Chamber (EUTEC). One of the co-organizers of the main virtual event, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Special Advisor on UN75 and Digital Cooperation Fabrizio Hochschild will also participate in the discussion as the special invited guest.
The event will be broadcasted on YouTube and also on Facebook and Instagram accounts of Friends for Leadership in English, and the outcome video will be available on the Roscongress YouTube channel, as well as on TV BRICS.

governance will be summarized and presented on the day of the Virtual Event on
