22 January, Davos. The Roscongress Foundation and the Department of Foreign Economic and International Relations of the City of Moscow have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation at the Russia House in Davos. The document was signed by Roscongress Foundation Chairman of the Board and CEO Alexander Stuglev and Minister of the Moscow Government and Head of the Department for Foreign Economic Activity and International Relations of Moscow Sergei Cheryomin.

The Memorandum aims to develop long-term cooperation and mutual assistance in congress and exhibition activities and was signed to jointly engage in strategic activities for the international promotion of Moscow and the Russian Federation as part of the Parties’ activities.

Stuglev said the Memorandum is evidence of the mutual interest in the further development of joint projects. «The Moscow Government is a permanent partner and co-organizer of the Foundation’s largest events. I hope this document will significantly bolster relations between the Foundation and the Moscow Government and will serve as a guarantee for our long-term and reliable cooperation,» he said.

The Memorandum creates additional opportunities for exchanging business information and establishing new international contacts that aim to promote the social, economic, scientific, technical, investment, and tourism potential of the Russian Federation and Moscow, in particular.

The Minister also noted that the signing of the Memorandum with the Roscongress Foundation would make it possible to begin preparations for a number of large-scale projects to promote Russia’s positive image abroad. «Today, it is crucial for us to not only maintain the positive aspects of cooperation between Russia and our foreign partners, but also find new forms of collaboration and communication channels through which we can respond to the pressing challenges of our times in the most effective manner possible,» Cheryomin said.
