Rubber Producers will be held in St. Petersburg with support of the Russian Convention Bureau

The 62nd Annual General Meeting of the International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers will be held in St. Petersburg in 2021.

The decision to hold the event in Russia was taken by the international community following the presentation of the destination by the Russian Convention Bureau. Annually the event brings together more than 150 participants, representatives of the industry.

The International Institute of Manufacturers of Synthetic Rubber Producers (IISRP) is an international non-profit trade association that unites more than 50 organizations and enterprises of the industry in 23 countries of the world, representing more than 90% of the global output volume of synthetic rubber. The organization was founded in 1960, its headquarters are located in Houston, TX.

Alexey Kalachev, Director of the Russian Convention Bureau, said: «According to International Congress and Convention Association, ICCA, most rotating events are science congresses, forums and symposia with the number of participants between 150 and 1000 people. Statistics show that the fastest growing events are meetings of associations on topics related to technology. Such events provide an opportunity to assess the local specialists, demonstrate their achievements in that or other sphere and get them integrated into the international community.»

The Russian Convention Bureau was founded in November 2017 with support of the Government of the Russian Federation for effective development of the event industry of the country, its integration in the global meetings industry. The key objective of the RCB is to facilitate implementation of strategic goals and national objectives of the Russian Federation, attract a larger number of international congress events to the country and to shape a positive image of Russia as a country with a favorable business and investment climate through support and development of the national event industry.

representing more than 90% of the global output volume of synthetic rubber. In addition to their headquarters in Houston, TX the Institute has offices in Milan and Tokyo. Structurally, the Institute is subdivided into three geographic areas: Far East, Europe, and North and South America.

The main goal of the Institute is active promotion of interests of synthetic rubber manufacturers, and support of interests of the general public in the sphere of production, design, safety and security, environmental control, transportation, international trade and other issues of interest to the industry. The Institute also works on developing common standards and consolidated opinions for the professional community.
