A youth business platform will be in operation as part of the Global Manufacturing and Industrialisation Summit scheduled for 9–11 July in Yekaterinburg. The platform for young professionals is being organized by the Roscongress Foundation, the UAE Ministry of Energy and Industry, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Government of the Sverdlovsk Region, the Russian Export Center, and the OT VINTA Foundation.
As part of the platform’s discussion block, young professionals will make short presentations of their projects to world-famous experts, the heads of research and technology centres of industrial enterprises, and venture and industry-specific investors.
During the discussions, youth platform participants will talk about their ideas and projects in sectors driving the growth of the world economy and the industrial revolution. They include digital manufacturing, engineering, satellite logistics, innovations in aerospace, aviation, and the automotive industries, new operating and cloud systems, big data and information security, virtual and augmented reality, the Internet of Things, robotics, education, and social entrepreneurship.
A key Summit theme is nature-like technologies, so youth projects supporting Sustainable Development Goals and the circular economy will also be discussed at the platform and will include those related to «green» energy, waste recycling, «life science» (genetics, neurotechnology, digital agriculture, medicine), «smart city» technologies (micromobility, unmanned technologies), and new materials among other things.
The most attractive youth projects will have a chance to qualify for participation in the Business Priority Pitch Session, which will include presentations from innovative start-ups to Russian and Arab investment funds, state corporations, and major industrial companies.
Moreover, young professionals will receive a chance to participate in the Summit’s main programme and attain the ultimate prize: the right to join the delegation of Russian entrepreneurs at the third Global Manufacturing and Industrialisation Summit.
