The Organizing Committee of the International
Financial Congress approved the dates for the event in 2019. The Congress will
take place on 3–5 July 2019. The Presidential Library and the Astoria Hotel
will host the Congress events.
The International Financial Congress is Russia’s most
significant professional event devoted to finance. Representatives from the
Bank of Russia, legislative and executive authorities, foreign regulators and
international organizations, major banks and financial institutions, and
professional financial associations, as well as renowned Russian and
international experts traditionally take part in Congress events.
To recap, the current issues of the financial
industry, the development of regulation and supervision in the financial
market, the interaction between the key elements of the financial system to
ensure its sustainability and economic growth were the focus of attention of
the International Financial Congress 2018.
The Informational and Analytical System of the Roscongress
Foundation published
the insights following the business programme of the International Financial
Congress 2018. The articles are the result of cooperation between the
Roscongress Foundation and finance and banking experts from the faculty of St.
Petersburg State University of Economics (UNECON).
Following the discussions, six
expert opinions were released: ‘Economic Trends and the Impact on the
Development of the Financial Sector’, ‘Digital Transformation of the Financial
Industry: Challenges and Prospects’, ‘Burning Cyber Security Trends’, ‘Speech
by Willem Bauter’, ‘Proportional Regulation and Supervision on the Financial
Market’, ‘Behavioural Supervision, from Concept to Practice: Agency Schemes for
Selling Financial Products’. The materials are available on the pages of
