The Decree
on the International Economic Forum «Russia — Islamic World: KazanForum» has
been signed. This year will mark the 14th event that will take place
on 18–19 May in Kazan. The Organizing Committee is chaired by Deputy Prime
Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin.
The
International Economic Forum «Russia — Islamic World: KazanForum» is a leading
international platform to discuss cooperation and implementation of joint
projects. «The Forum that will take place in May 2023 is an important platform
of economic cooperation between the Russian Federation and Islamic countries,»
said Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation.
The first
Forum was held in 2009. Its purpose is to strengthen economic, scientific,
technological, social, and cultural ties between Russia and the countries of
the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation. The Russian Federation and the
Republic of Tatarstan are opening up the potential for cooperation with the
Islamic world in a new way. The event is supported by the Federation Council of
the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the Government of the
Republic of Tatarstan.
The 13th
International Economic Forum «Russia — Islamic World: KazanForum 2022»
took place on May 2022 in Kazan and brought
together over 6 thousand participants from 64 counties and 59 Russian regions.
