The year 2022 for the Point Junior project, implemented by the Roscongress Foundations youth platform the Content Foundation, went under the auspices of uniting a community of proactive teenagers around modelling an image of the future. Throughout the year, the project provided mentoring support, bringing talented teenagers closer to achieving goals and implementing ideas to help design that very future. Plans for 2023 are more ambitious. They will focus on international development and cooperation.
The year 2022 began with the involvement of the countrys regions in the work of the project and the formation of a community of creative teenagers, where Point Junior held many strategic sessions, which resulted in talented schoolchildren taking part in the countrys leading business events. These sessions have also clearly articulated the core values that are important to todays teenagers: openness to the new, the world and oneself is the foundation teenagers see for the future. In the new year, the regional development of the project will continue, reaching out to more regions of the country.
«When it comes to working with teenagers, we are first and foremost about listening to their voice, sharing their experiences and encouraging them to dream big about great victories and accomplishments. In doing so, it is important to offer guidance as well as create opportunities for development. In 2023, Point Junior plans to integrate the youth agenda into major international business events, allowing the young generation to be heard at the highest level, to present their ideas to interested experts, and to stimulate intergenerational communication,» Elena Sokolova, Director of the Content Foundation, shared her ideas and plans.
In 2022, over 700 schoolchildren from different parts of Russia took part in the activities of the Point Junior project, meeting with more than 100 prominent political and public figures and business representatives. For example, during a meeting at SPIEF with Maksut Shadaev, Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, participants in the youth section of the Forum were able to discuss current issues of the countrys digital development and formation of technological sovereignty, while during Russian Energy Week a round table was held with Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, where students learned about the career prospects of the fuel and energy complex. Discussions at the Eastern Economic Forum were productive, where the Governors of Khabarovsk and Kamchatka Territories, Mikhail Degtyarev and Vladimir Solodov, as well as the Russian Minister for the Development of the Far East and Arctic, Alexei Chekunkov, helped to immerse themselves in the specifics of managing a strategically important region of the country and understand the future vectors of development in the Russian Far East.
In 2023, the
Roscongress Foundations youth platform also plans to strengthen the
international component of the project and focus on international events,
cooperation with friendly countries on implementing common ideas and finding
joint solutions to the challenges of the new times. For example, on 1417 June,
the traditional St. Petersburg International Economic Forums youth section
SPIEF Junior will take place. It will invite youth delegations from a number of
countries including the UAE, the Forums guest country. In addition, the project
will be integrated into the RussiaAfrica Economic Forum, aimed at
strengthening friendly relations and forming joint plans, the Eastern Economic
Forum, as well as other leading international congress and exhibition
platforms.
