Russian
President Vladimir Putin has signed a Decree
«On the Organizing Committee in Charge of Preparing for and Supporting the
Russian Federations Chairmanship of the Bodies of the Eurasian Economic Union
in 2023». Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexei Overchuk has
been appointed chairman of the Organizing Committee.
The
Organizing Committees tasks will also include coordinating the activities of
federal executive authorities, the executive authorities of the Russian
regions, local governments, and organizations to promptly solve problems
related to preparations for and holding chairmanship events.
The
Organizing Committee will act in accordance with the action plan as part of the
Russian Federations chairmanship of the bodies of the Eurasian Economic Union
in 2023.
«As part of
its chairmanship of the EAEU, the Russian Federation plans to develop a
partnership between the Unions member countries in economic, technological,
and social areas, and will also promote the intensification of the EAEUs
international business ties and contacts,» Adviser to the Russian President
Anton Kobyakov said.
The
priorities of Russias chairmanship of the EAEU in 2023 will include
strengthening technological sovereignty, digitalization, investment, and
expanding youth exchanges.
