Roscongress representatives met with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Regional Delegation for Russia, Belarus, and Moldova in Moscow.
Participants addressed cooperation in healthcare and implementing initiatives in social development, charity, and volunteering.
“As a socially oriented non-financial development institute, we truly value your proposal to hold this meeting. The role the Red Cross plays in resolving major humanitarian problems all over the world has become even greater now, when the humanity faces the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic. The importance of the Red Cross in our country was emphasized at the recent (5 December 2021) meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the President of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) Francesco Rocca. We are happy to discuss the prospects for cooperation between the Roscongress Foundation and your organization,” noted Alexander Stuglev.
The meeting also addressed topics covered by international events held by the Roscongress Foundation, including preparation for the Russia–Africa Summit and Economic Forum 2022.
“Cooperation with such a large institute is an opportunity to share our best practices with public officials, entrepreneurs, and representatives of the science and education community. It also gives us an opportunity to discuss the important topics included in the business programme of Roscongress events with them,” said Ikhtiyar Aslanov.
The participants agreed to work on integrating the ICRC agenda in the theme tracks and appropriate lines of effort of the Roscongress Foundation.
