Vladivostok creates a special economic zone
Infrastructure of the new inductrial SEZ based on the "Sollers" plant will be created in 2016.
September 17, the head of Primorsky Krai Vladimir Miklushevsky signed an agreement with the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation on the establishment of a special economic zone of industrial type at the "Sollers" plant.
"Creation of the infrastructure of the SEZ will cost the budget more than $140 million, including $123 million from the federal budget. SEZ regime will attract more than $300 million of private investment and create more than 2 thousand new high-performance workplaces," - says the press service of the region.
It is planned that the SEZ infrastructure and new production will be established in 2016.
"The task of the special economic zone is difficult to overestimate. Krupnosborochnogo We are gradually moving from semi knocked down to completely knocked down assembly of cars. It is about creating automotive components, and most importantly - creating motor production, which brings high technology to the region. Essentially, a motor production inside Russia allows getting away from dependence on imports, "- said Vladimir Miklushevsky during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Anchor investors of the SEZ are Russian-Japanese company "Mazda Sollers Manufacturing RUS" and transport company "Pacific Logistics".
Key projects of the zone are increasing the production capacity of Mazda and SsangYong plant to 100 thousand cars per year and a specialized terminal capable of serving 250,000 containers per year, as well as accommodation of automotive components production in the SEZ.
