Dear Partners!

I’m happy to present to you the Lipetsk Region as one of the most successful and dynamically-developing regions in modern Russia, holding leading positions in the Russian Federation according to many social and economic indicators.

Even though our region is small in both size and population, it has high scientific; technical; industrial; and investment potential and a well-developed infrastructure.

The credit ratings assigned by the international corporation “Fitch” are supported by high rates of liquidity of the Lipetsk region, weighted financial management and debt.

For almost ten years the region has been included in the leading group of Russian territories according to the rating of investment attractiveness prepared by an authoritative Russian rating agency.

Improvement of the legislative base and a decrease in investment risks became the bases of the steady inflow of investments into the region’s economy. During the period from 2001 to 2009, the volume of investment in the comparable prices increased almost by 7 times. The share of investments in GRP counts for 41% which corresponds to the indicators of intensively developing industrial countries. Foreign investments were accumulated for about $ 15 billion.

The priority directions for attraction of investments are the automotive industry, mechanical engineering, food processing, pharmacy, and biotechnologies.

In this region all conditions, legal and economic, are created for successful businesses.

• The investment strategy of the Lipetsk region for the period until 2020, providing a systematic approach in defining the directions for a dynamic development of the region, is accepted and realized.

• The investment memorandum of the Lipetsk region for 2012 publicly declares the general principles of interaction of regional authorities with investors.

• Special territories with appropriate conditions for the implementation of economic functions are created for investors: special economic zones of federal and regional levels and industrial parks. Projects, which use state-private partnership, are actively supported.

We are not only anticipating investors, but also already cooperating with them and bring any initiative of the investor to a logical end.

I sincerely welcome the active participation of the business community in its implementation of investment ideas in our region.

The Lipetsk Region is ready for your cooperation!
