Chukotka Autonomous Region is the Northeasternmost and the most remote region of Russian Federation. It lies entirely in the Arctic zone and is known for it extreme climatic conditions. All these factors as well as the geopolitical location of this territory require specific approaches in running the region and planning its development.

Chukotka government designed the Strategy for development, accent being made on the investment attraction and growth of the mining industry, especially of the gold mining. As more than ten years of the Strategy implementation revealed, Chukotka's economy has made a significant breakthrough so far, region becoming the leader among the Russian regions in the precios metals extraction.

One of the most important competitive advantages of Chukotka is the minimization of bureaucratic procedures, the ability to deal the issues and taking the necessary measures rapidly. That is the reason why the gold and silver mine 'Kupol' was opened merely in five years. This positive experience of the regional government collaboration with the investors is well known on the other side of the Atlantic. As a result, such companies as «Kinross Gold Corporation», «Polimetall»,  «Highland Gold Mining LTD»,  Тigers Realm Coal etc. now work in Chukotka.

The regional development directly depends upon the extraction of the minerals. Only 5% of Chukotka territory have been studied by the geological expeditions so far, but even these results make to assess local tin and tungsten resources as the largest in Russia, while copper resources might be one of the largest in the world. We are interested in the new investors coming and are ready to support any investment initiative aimed to establish a new industrial enterprise or develop new economic activities. In addition to that, we hope that proximity of the region to the Asia-Pacific might to arouse the interest on ivestors from the said region.
