EEF 2021 Exhibitions to Present Investment Opportunities in the Far East

The exhibition spaces of the 6th Eastern Economic Forum, which will be held on 2–4 September in Vladivostok, will present investment opportunities in the regions of the Far East as well as promising projects being implemented by the government and Russian companies.

“The main goal of the Forum’s exhibitions is to demonstrate the capabilities of the Far East and attract new investors to the region. The Forum’s guests and participants will be able to learn about the dynamic work to ensure the investment appeal of the Far Eastern Federal District, engage in a direct dialogue with representatives of Russian companies and the public authorities, and learn about the support measures that are being provided for entrepreneurs,” Adviser to the Russian President and Executive Secretary of the EEF Organizing Committee Anton Kobyakov said.

The EEF 2021 exhibitions will be held in multiple formats.

The exposition of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic will inform guests about the results of the new economic policy in the macro-region and present key sectors of the economy, investment opportunities, the activities and goals of development institutions, ongoing and promising investment projects, and mechanisms for the operation of preferential regimes (advanced special economic zones and the Free Port of Vladivostok).

The exhibition spaces of the Russian federal executive authorities will focus on the general theme of ‘Welcome to the Far East.’

The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade will showcase the most interesting product samples from companies working in the Far East as well as infrastructure projects that are being implemented with the ministry’s support.

The Russian Federal Tourism Agency’s booth will demonstrate Russia’s unique natural beauty and introduce new trends in the tourism industry.

The Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education will host a booth at the EEF for the first time. The exposition will reflect the achievements of Russian scientists, the latest innovative developments, and the research projects of Russian universities and scientific organizations, and also provide details about events being held as part of the Year of Science and Technology.

The presentation area of the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources will showcase four main focuses of its activities, such as subsoil use, the use and protection of forests, specially protected natural areas, climatic change, and a calculation of the hydrocarbon footprint in the region.

The Russian Ministry of Transport will present projects that aim to develop the territories of the Far East and enhance the availability of transportation. In addition, it will inform guests about key projects in civil aviation, maritime and inland water transport, the road industry, and the establishment of checkpoints across the state border.

The booth of the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office will host signings of international agreements, take applications, provide clarifications about legislation, and also present its mobile application.

The Russian Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre, and Cartography and the company Roscartography will inform guests at their booth about an experiment to create a one-stop information resource about land and real estate, which will allow any Russian citizen to receive online information about land both for business and for their own needs.

The exposition of the Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing will show the service’s contribution to ensuring Russia’s sanitary and epidemiological safety, the work of the world-class Genome Research and Education Centre, Russia’s capabilities to rapidly respond to biological emergencies, modern Russian technologies to develop test systems as well as diagnostic drugs and vaccines in the markets of South-East Asia. The service’s booth will also conduct a flu vaccination campaign in its vaccination room. This event has already become a tradition and is being held at the EEF for the fourth time.

The Russian Federal Medical‑Biological Agency will present the main focuses of its activities: specific aspects of legal regulation in medical and sanitary support for workers and monitoring the safety of donor blood and its components, among other areas.

The Russia House booth of the Russian Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation will be dedicated to the most important areas of the agency’s work, including assistance for international development, the promotion of Russian education and culture, and the provision of humanitarian aid and support.

Per tradition, the Federal Agency for Fishery will set up the Russian Fish House pavilion at the EEF 2021. Industry leaders will present the results of sustainable fishing for wild fish and talk about intricacies and innovations in the fishing, processing, storage, and transportation industries. In addition, large tents will be erected at the Russian Fish House, where visitors can sit comfortably and sample Far Eastern cuisine as well as watch a concert programme on the main stage. Famous chefs will prepare a special signature menu.

Photo exhibitions of EEF 2021 exhibitors will also be held at the Forum. The exhibition ‘Transbaikalia. Flight’ will feature unique works by such Transbaikalia natives as famous sculptor Dashinima Namdakov and famous gunsmith Zhigzhit Bayaskhalanov.

Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company will hold a photo exposition called ‘Best Available Technologies’, which will showcase the activities of Vostochny Port, the largest specialized terminal in Russia with high-tech transhipment of coal from various Russian producers and a modern logistics infrastructure facility.

Partners of the EEF, including information partners, will also present their exhibition pavilions.

The key exhibition of the EEF 2021 will be the ‘Far East Street’, which will take place on 2–7 September and feature all 11 regions of the Far East. The exhibition will present the unique features of the Far East regions, their economic potential, tourism opportunities, and cultural traditions. The regions will inform the Forum’s participants and guests about ongoing and promising investment projects. The pavilions set up by the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District, except for the Magadan Region, will not be dismantled following the Forum and will become permanent exhibitions.

The ‘Far East Street’ exhibition will also feature expositions of three federal ministries: the Ministry of Sport, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic.

The ‘Sport for Life’ pavilion of the Ministry of Sport will serve as the sporting centre at the Forum and create a high-quality platform for discussions and conferences on issues that are important for representatives of Russian and world sports. Guests will also be introduced to future major projects in the Russian sports world, new sports, sports federations, sports universities and schools, sports training centres, and the achievements of Russian athletes. A separate interactive sector will be dedicated to the Ready for Labour and Defence movement in honour of its 90th anniversary.

The Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic will host the ‘House on a Hectare’ exposition at the central venue of the ‘Far East Street’ exhibition, where it will present the results of the Far Eastern Hectare programme, success stories, and information on new mechanisms for supporting participants in an interactive presentation area. The exposition will also present a wide range of products made on the Far Eastern hectares.

Four combat aircraft of the Russian Ministry of Defence (SU-35s, MiG-31bm) will also put on aerobatic displays over Ajax Bay as part of the opening of the ‘Far East Street’ exhibition.
