Participants in the Russian-chaired event will discuss prospects for practical cooperation in science and technology within the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.
They plan to exchange views on creating mechanism for the support and coordination of scientific and technological cooperation in the SCO.
The participants will focus on such priority areas as environmental protection technology, energy effectiveness and energy saving, innovation technology, in particular, in agriculture, including the food sector and food security, biotechnology and bioengineering, information and nanotechnology.
Following the conference, the heads of the delegations will sign a protocol.
The event will take place in the Marriott Grand Hotel (26/1 Tverskaya Street) in Moscow.
