Roscongress Foundation has started accepting media accreditation applications for the 16th Russia—Kazakhstan Interregional Cooperation Forum focusing on Topical Issues Related to the Development of Cross-Border Cooperation.

The Forum will take place on 6–7 November 2019 at the Congress Hall in Omsk, Russia.

The annual Russia—Kazakhstan Interregional Cooperation Forum has been held since 2003, alternating between the two countries, and is a key platform to strengthen bilateral relations and diversify business contacts and interactions between government and business in both countries.

Alongside the main agenda focused on comprehensive cooperation between the two countries, the Forum’s opening day will also include discussions and roundtables on cooperation in various industries between Russia and Kazakhstan, a meeting of the Russia—Kazakhstan Business Council, and the Russia—Kazakhstan Youth Forum.

The forum will also feature an exhibition highlighting export opportunities and capabilities of Russian and Kazakhstan enterprises and the investment potential of border territories.

«The Russia—Kazakhstan Interregional Forum is a powerful, universal platform facilitating interactions between government and business to unlock the cooperation potential in trade and investment development. Russia and Kazakhstan are long-standing partners. I am confident that the next Interregional Forum will give a further impetus to promoting our mutual interests within the Eurasian Economic Union,» noted Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation.

Previously, during the Russia—Kazakhstan talks held in April 2019, Russian President Vladimir Putin invited Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan, to attend the Interregional Cooperation Forum. «During the talks, we addressed preparations for the next, 16th Russia—Kazakhstan Interregional Cooperation Forum. This year it will be held in Omsk in November, and I was pleased to invite the President of Kazakhstan to take part,» said Vladimir Putin after the meeting.

The registration form is available at link.
