The Roscongress Foundation, Russian Export Center and Heihe Cross-Border E-Company Epindo took part in a ceremony at the Russian Investment Forum on February 27, 2017 to sign an agreement on mutual understanding with the aim of promoting the export of high-quality consumer goods from the Russian Federation to the Peoples Republic of China.
According to the document, the parties have agreed to place Russian-made goods on the TMall online platform in a Russian pavilion (over the last year Epindo had turnover of RMB 50 million with some 3,315,000 products sold) and also to organize congress and exhibition events to promote Russian goods in China for the sale of food and agricultural products.
Preliminary forecasts indicate Epindo expects to generate total annual revenue of up to RMB 2 billion both online as well as through online sales channels.
In addition, the Russian Export Center and Roscongress will discuss prospects for setting up an enterprise to assist Epindo in establishing supply channels for Russian products to China, attracting suppliers of Russian products and consolidating the relevant product volumes, holding marketing events as well as providing mutual support in developing the relevant export operations.
