SPILF 2022 to Discuss Russian Legislation Development Strategies Under Current Global Changes

On 29 June 2022 at 16:45, the 10th St. Petersburg International Legal Forum will host a session entitled ‘Logic and the Strategy of Lawmaking’.

The session will address improving Russian legislation for the purpose of minimizing potential negative consequences of today’s global change.

Session participants will discuss the fundamental principles and organization of the lawmaking process, as well as its most efficient methods and crisis management aspects. Participants will also address the legal continuity of their own historical, geopolitical and moral values.

«We need to be on top of the most oppressing challenges, which includes improving the lawmaking quality, including the quality of law drafting and upgrading federal and regional legislation,» said Deputy Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation Andrey Loginov.

Session participants will include Andrey Loginov, State Secretary — Deputy Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation; Dmitry Zverev, State Secretary — Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation; Pavel Stepanov, Director, Department for Support of Legislative Activities and Legal Regulation of the Government of the Russian Federation; Yury Sinelshchikov, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on State Building and Legislation; and Yekaterina Egorova, Deputy Secretary General — Head of Legal Department, Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
