The festival is scheduled for 1617 July in the Murmansk region as a major Russian Arctic Council chairmanship event and is operated by the Roscongress Foundation.

According to Deputy Governor of the Murmansk Region Olga Kuznetsova, who was speaking during a session of the Festival Organizing Committee held at Murmansk region government offices, 2022’s festival will aim to nurture visitor awareness.

«We really hope everyone who visits Teriberka over the festival’s two days, be it for food, movies, music, or to participate in the various activities on offer, is immersed in three emotional states: awareness, responsibility for the environment, and cooperation,» Kuznetsova said.

More than 25 representatives of the Murmansk region’s restaurant industry will be helping put together the menu for the 7th Teriberka Arctic Festival Taste of the Arctic food court. Restaurateurs will be offering up the best of Arctic One-Hand-Food. Co-organizer of the gastronomic platform is the Gastronomic Map of Russia federal project.

In addition to promoting local products and Arctic cuisine, festival organizers will likewise be focussing on Teriberka’s original goal of bringing a wider audience into contact with the unique tourist potential of Russia’s smaller Arctic territories and developing event tourism in the region.

For the first time, the Murmansk Region Tourism Committee will be holding the MURMANSK.TRAVEL Market tourist exhibition, with 15+ industry representatives on hand to acquaint visitors with weekend trip destinations, and Russian Post will be organizing a field stand for exclusive postcards.

«The music venue is one of the festival’s most important. I’m not going to announce the 7th Teriberka Arctic Festival headliners just yet. Let’s keep it a surprise for the fans of one of the Russian Arctic zone’s most vibrant festivals,» Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Murmansk Region Alexander Eliseev said.

Over 5,000 participants from 27 Russian regions took part in the Teriberka festival in 2021. The event was held as part of the cultural programme of Russia’s chairmanship of the Arctic Council in 20212023. Last year, the festival won the Russian Geographical Society Award and also won the National Events of Russia Award in the Culture: Concerts and Music Festivals category.
