The September issue of the bulletin starts with Yury Trutnevs address to participants and guests of the 4th Eastern Economic Forum. In his address, the Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District expounds on the competitive advantages of the Russian Far East and recounts the steps that have already been taken to unlock the potential of the region. Following that is a chronological list of the government support measures and the actions taken to stimulate the economy of the Far East in the period from EEF-2017 to EEF-2018.
A separate section of the digest is assigned to news about ASEZ and the Free Port of Vladivostok residents. The publication is positioned as EEF 2018 Participant Guidebook.
Presenting the best investment projects of the Far East has already become a tradition of the Eastern Economic Forum. At EEF 2018, some of the presented projects are a methanol production facility, Amur GPP, and a center for proton-beam therapy. Besides that, the participants and guests of EEF 2018 are going to discuss the prospects for a more efficient development of the mining industry, oil and gas industry, forestry and wood industry, agriculture, and fishing industry. The most burning issues at the 4th EEF will be those of using the advantages of the regions transit location, the problem of attracting investments from the APR to the global logistics projects in the Russian Far East, and the task of increasing the long-term competitive potential of ports in the Far East.
Other focus points of the coming forum will be the development and government support of tourism in the Far East, the government program of social development of economic growth areas in the Far East, and the prospects for creating a financial market in Primorye with new conditions and a high-tech center.
