Applications for innovative companies’ contests
that the Roscongress Foundation holds as part of the Business Priority project
will be accepted in an extended time frame until 17 January 2020. The decision
was made due to a large number of potentially interesting startups in energy,
healthcare and environment protection that would like to compete in their
respective fields.
«It is very important to prepare an application,
and from the nominee’s standpoint it is perhaps the most important stage of
participation in the contest, which is why we decided to be flexible and give the
young teams extra time so that they could make their presence known in the most
impressive way,» said Alexander Stuglev, Chairman of the Board and CEO of the Roscongress
Foundation.
The results of the Top 10 Innovative Companies
in Energy, Top 10 Innovative Companies in the Environment, and Top 10
Innovative Healthcare Companies contests will be announced at the Russian
Investment Forum, which will be held in Sochi on 12–14 February.
Along with the Roscongress Foundation, the competition
is organized by the Skolkovo Foundation, the Content Fund and relevant Government
agencies: the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment
and the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
«We see intense competition among young teams.
They have a lot of work to do, and so do the members of the expert jury. That
makes it more interesting to see the finalists. I am positive that we can
select truly breakthrough projects that have a good shot at changing the future
landscape in their sectors,» said Marianna Skragan, Director of the Business
Priority project.
The aim of the competition is to unveil the highly
demanded and most promising innovative solutions. Teams that make it to the
finals will have a chance to present their projects at the Russian Investment
Forum and get direct access to the world’s largest technology consumers in the
future. That would allow them to scale their product as fast as possible and start
exporting it to global markets.
